Monitor Calibration proved me wrong…

My initial reaction to all these guys purchasing a monitor calibration device was that you could achieve “nearly” identical results by using free tools, or almost free tools. Unless of course you were a pro and need utmost clarity….

However, Spyder2 calibrator proved me wrong! My monitor now got a different color cast…. Much brighter and more representative of colour skins, in relevant photos. If you exclude my initial surprise after the change, I got used to it now.

Also, I know think I understand why some of my photobooks published earlier using tictacphoto, had this dark cast.. It was not the printer, but me……

Setup and calibration was very easy (just 10 mins). I have yet to understand though how PRINT FIX (which calibrates your printer) works. Stay tuned….
